A cell in connective tissue that produces Collagen and other Fibers allowing skin to recover from injury
Plasma Fibroblast is known as "Soft Surgery" its effects are similar to surgery without the scalpel, stitches, downtime not to mention being lighter on the wallet.
The Plasma pen is a precise tool, which forms a plasma by ionizing the atmospheric gas particles that are present between the surface of the skin and the needle's tip. Using an electrical spark to heat tiny columns of the skin, skin fibers are shrunk and collagen production is boosted, leading to the tightening and removal of excess skin. The tiny needle never penetrates the skin.
Plasma Fibroblast is a minimally invasive non-surgical procedure which is incredibly effective on wrinkle smoothing, eyelid tightening and eyelid hood reduction. It repairs, lifts and rejuvenates many areas, improving skin tone, elasticity and texture. It tightens loose skin plumps lines and wrinkles.
The results of the plasma fibroblast treatment are visible instantaneously. The fibers of the dermis (inner layer of skin) and the epidermis (outer layer of the skin) contract and tighten the skin for 6-12 weeks. Areas may require multiple treatments (which must be 8 weeks apart).
Based on clinical trials and real world experience, patients typically see long-lasting results for about 3 years.*
Once the skin is tightened then it is actually permanent. However, your skin will still continue to age and this will happen at different rates based on genetics, lifestyle choices and free radicals. For most patients 3 years is how long they will see results but this can differ for each patient due to the factors previously listed.
Most patients only need one treatment with the Plasma Pen to see results but the amount of treatments you will need depend upon your desires, the area being treated, your age, the condition and type of your skin among a few other factors.
What you think "looks bad" and/or is "uncomfortable" can be very different from someone else's perception. If you are comparing it to cosmetic surgery, then no, the downtime is minimal. If you are comparing it to a light chemical peel where no one can tell you did anything and you are just a bit flaky everywhere, then no.
You don't want to wear makeup or use any moisturizers on your day of treatment. Just come in with clean skin. We suggest taking an antihistamine one hour before your appointment and continue to take antihistamines for two to three days after your appointment. This will reduce swelling in the treatment area.
A numbing agent is place on the treatment area and left to take effect for 30 to 45 minutes. When the area is sufficiently numb the treatment will begin. During the treatment you will feel some heat and minor irritation. Treatment time will last from 45 minutes and up to several hours depending on the size of the treatment area.
During your first appointment you will be given aftercare instructions. Following these instructions is critical for best results. No exfoliators or harsh cleansers can be used in the week following treatment. Recommendations would be Cetaphil, Dove, Unscented Glycerin, Zinc Oxide for SPF, Vitamin E capsule, Aloe Vera Gel, Colloidal Silver Spray. You should also avoid rubbing or scratching the treated area.
Around the 8th Week you can begin to reintroduce skin cleansers containing AHA.
Final results are visible 6 weeks after treatment. Follow Up treatments may be performed after 6 to 8 weeks depending on your skin's healing. Follow up treatments are often offered at a discount.
