What You Need to Know About Botox / Xeomin / Dysport

These injectables helped millions get rid of nagging wrinkles and facial lines. It's a treatment best described in three words: simple, painless, and non-invasive. You have a highly-trained and knowledgeable injector to administer the treatment and give you the results you want.

What to Keep in Mind Before the Treatment

  • Steer clear of alcohol a full 24 hours prior to the treatment
  • There are certain things that increase the risk of adverse effects of the swelling and bruising in the areas treated, so make sure to avoid them at least one week prior to the procedure. Ibuprofen, Advil, Motrin, and other ant-inflammatory meds; caffeine, vitamin E, and fish oils should be kept from entering into your systems during this time period.
  • Being a pregnant or breastfeeding mother does not make you a viable candidate for Botox.

After-Treatment Reminders

  • Keep from massaging the area of treatment for an entire day.
  • Exercises or any activity that causes you to sweat should be avoided for the next 24 hours.
  • Ban yourself from wearing hats, headbands or anything that may cover the injected area within 24 hours after being administered the injection.
  • You'll see improvement in the areas being treated within 3 days 'til up to a week.
  • Effects will have, at most, a 4-month time span.

What about the results?

Results will already be apparent mere days after the treatment. The areas being treated will continue to improve for up to a week, and effects could last up to 4 months. Of course, results will vary from one person to another.
